Caroline Sharpen
CEO
Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra
Caroline was appointed CEO of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in 2019. She has had a 20+ year career in arts administration in Australia and the United States working for organisations including Musica Viva Australia, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington DC). She completed her MBA in 2013 and launched a management consulting firm for the cultural sector specialising in strategy and revenue development. It was only the TSO - the organisation that sparked a lifelong love of music when she was seven - that drew her back to a single organisation. And ultimately, to Tasmania. She gets most excited about the privilege of working with talented, creative humans, leadership and creating the culture that allows everyone to be at their best - on stage and off.
