Business owner, designer, mentor, leader and innovator, Gillian's career has spanned the fields of art and education, government policy, curriculum development, affirmative action and business. Gillian is Co-Founder of Corban & Blair a product design and manufacturing company.
Past membership of boards includes TAFE NSW, NSW Small Business Development Corporation and the National Procurement Board. Gillian has sat on numerous community and government committees, the Advisory Committee of the Centre for Olympic Studies UNSW, The National Student Design Awards Committee & the Management Committee of Detour House Women’s Refuge and a past member of CEW.
Currently Gillian is Artistic Editor for IdeasSpies.com a platform supporting innovative ideas. A core business principal is the desire to showcase the richness and beauty of Australian culture through key collaborations; supporting women in business, designers and makers and with these relationships explore ways to support environmental initiatives- no matter how small. One of Gillian’s passions is to collaborate with other creatives to tell our Australian stories through the products created for clients that are meaningful, useful & personal. Gillian received the Centenary Medal for her contribution to business leadership in 2003.
