Karen is an experienced Chief People Officer currently transitioning to non-executive director and advisory roles. She has worked extensively in large, complex organisations in public sector contexts and is dedicated to responsible and effective governance. She has expertise in executive remuneration & payment reviews, and all aspects of workforce-related risk, drawing upon 20+ years’ of experience operating in leadership roles across higher education & government.

In terms of her HR leadership, she has a track record in collaboration across corporate areas for digital & service transformation; growing talent, capability, culture & performance in complex workforce contexts; and embedding values of integrity and respect. Her passion and experience saw her lead the social media arm of the Teach Us Consent campaign, pulling mandatory consent education for Australian students over the line in March 2022.
