Michelle has created a destination bookshop. In the last seven years, with no previous specific industry experience, she has learnt essential small business skills including design and presentation, marketing, social media, accounting, customer service. She has lead change in retail by making proactive business decisions. She recently purchased new premises and relocated the bookshop to an area which she sees as becoming more vibrant, by attracting more businesses. After having lived in many different places Michelle sees Armidale as home for many years to come. Community involvement in a regional town has made life rewarding.
