Shane is self-employed with diverse interests including managing a grazing business with Black Angus cattle.
Shane is the Dubbo Branch Chair of NSW Farmers and is on the Region 3 Executive Council for NSW Farmers, a position which she enjoys as it supports her desire to advocate on behalf of the farming community.
Shane has just recently been elected to the Board of NSW Farmers.
For many years Shane worked as a Head Teacher of Education Support programs for TAFE Western which meant she developed a very good understanding of the different needs of communities from Lithgow to Broken Hill. She has embraced lifelong learning and has qualifications including a Bachelor of Economics, Diploma of Management and Graduate Diploma in Adult L&N Education.
Shane resides in Dubbo, is married, has 3 grown up children and 3 grandchildren who she adores.
