As Senior Vice-President, People Services, Susan is accountable for building the appropriate organizational capability and capacity to support Cenovus’s business activities and deliver on the company’s strategy. She leads the human resources, workplace operations, real estate, and security and investigations teams. Susan has extensive experience working in the oil and gas industry, including in the areas of human resources, health and safety, commercial and regulatory, supply chain and Indigenous affairs. She has been with Cenovus since 2021 and previously served as the company’s Vice-President, Supply Chain. Prior to Cenovus, she spent 20 years with Husky Energy in various roles including Vice-President and Chief Procurement Officer and Vice-President, Legal. Before joining Husky, Susan practiced for six years as a litigation associate with Bennett Jones LLP in Calgary. Susan holds an LLB from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Political Science from the University of Alberta.
